African Union Member States convened in New York, United States of America alongside other global leaders for the Seventh Global Fund Replenishment to voice their commitment to ending AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria by 2030. The Seventh Global Fund Replenishment saw a remarkable US$14.25 million raised for the response of the three diseases across the next three years (2023-2025) – the largest amount ever raised for a multilateral health organization. Eighteen AU Member States pledged a cumulative of US$ 62.43 million to the 2022 Replenishment Cycle (as of September 21). The Global Fund pools the world’s resources to invest strategically in programs to fight HIV, tuberculosis (TB) and malaria, build resilient and sustainable systems for health and strengthen pandemic preparedness.
